Connectors
Connectors are authorization channels between Genstore and external platforms. After connecting a platform, Genstore can access relevant functions of that platform within the authorized scope to read or manipulate corresponding data. You can revoke authorization at any time.
You can connect Amazon, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms through Genstore's built-in connectors. After connection, Genstore can read order, inventory, engagement, and other data as needed for tasks, so analysis results are based on authorized business information.
Access connector center
- Log in to the Genstore merchant admin.
- Switch to the Chat tab in the top-left corner.
- Click Connectors in the left navigation bar to enter the Connector Center.
What connectors do
Connectors mainly serve to supplement Genstore's business context:
- Platform access: Supports connecting e-commerce, social media, and marketing channels.
- Data reading: Reads business metrics such as inventory, conversion rates, and engagement rates within the authorized scope.
- Authorization configuration: Completes access through API credentials or OAuth authorization. Authorization can be revoked at any time.
Browse and filter connectors
The Connector Center provides multiple ways to help you find the connectors you need:
Browse by category
Top tabs are divided by channel type, covering the following categories:
- Social media: Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Reddit, Twitter/X, etc.
- Sales channels: Amazon, Google Merchant Center, TikTok Business, Facebook Business, Pinterest, etc.
Search connectors
Use the search box in the top-right corner to enter platform names and quickly locate relevant connectors.
Connect external platforms
Connection steps (taking Amazon as an example)
- Enter Connector Center: Click Connectors in the left navigation bar.
- Select Platform: Switch to the Sales Channels tab at the top and find Amazon.
- Click Connect: Click the + button on the Amazon card, then click Connect Amazon in the popup window.
- Authorize Connection: The system will redirect to Amazon Seller Central. Log in and complete authorization.
- Verify Status: After successful connection, "Connected" will be displayed in the top-right corner of the card.
What you can do after connection
After successful connection, different platforms provide Genstore with accessible data and operational capabilities. These capabilities are only triggered when you actively initiate them in conversations or configure them to run on a schedule in Scheduled Tasks; simply connecting a platform does not automatically start these processes.
E-commerce channels (e.g., Amazon)
- Order analysis: When you initiate order-related analysis, Genstore can read order data within the authorized scope and generate sales analysis reports.
- Inventory check: When you ask Genstore to check inventory or when relevant scheduled tasks run, it can view inventory status and prompt for products that may need restocking.
- Customer analysis: When you initiate a request, Genstore can summarize customer profiles, purchase records, and other information to assist in marketing strategy development.
Example commands:
- "Help me analyze last week's sales data from my Amazon store and identify top-selling products and potential issues"
- "Predict which products in my inventory need restocking in the next two weeks"
Social media (TikTok/Instagram/Facebook, etc.)
- Engagement analysis: When you initiate a request or when relevant scheduled tasks run, Genstore can view post popularity, comment sentiment, and engagement metrics.
Example commands:
- "Analyze my recently posted Instagram content to see which posts have the highest engagement rate"
- "Help me write a product promotion copy suitable for TikTok"
Manage connected connectors
View connected connectors
In the Connectors page, connected platform cards display a "Connected" status indicator.
Disconnect
For connected e-commerce or social media channels, you can disconnect at any time:
- Click the connected platform card.
- Find the Disconnect button in the popup window.
- Click the button to confirm disconnection.
Tip: Disconnecting will not delete your data on that platform nor affect the platform's operations. After disconnection, Genstore will no longer be able to access that platform's data, and related skill functions will be temporarily unavailable. They will resume after reconnection.
FAQ
Q: Why can't I connect to a certain platform?
A: Please check if the credentials you entered are correct and ensure you have administrator permissions for that platform. If the problem persists, please refer to the connection documentation for the relevant platform or contact support.
Q: Will Genstore automatically operate my account after connecting?
A: No. Unless you set up automated commands in Scheduled tasks, Genstore will not operate without permission. All publishing or modification suggestions will be submitted to you for confirmation first.
Q: Can I connect multiple accounts from the same platform simultaneously?
A: Currently, each connector only supports connecting one account.
Q: Will previously generated report data be lost after disconnecting?
A: No. Analysis reports and conversation history saved in Genstore will not be affected. Disconnecting only stops future data fetching and does not delete existing content.
Q: Why can't I see buyer emails on Amazon?
A: This is due to Amazon's privacy policy restrictions. All third-party tools (including Genstore) cannot access buyer emails. If you need to contact buyers, you can only use Amazon's internal messaging system.
Q: Does connector authorization expire?
A: No, authorization does not expire. Genstore uses technical solutions to automatically renew authorization.
Q: Where can I revoke Genstore's authorization to third-party platforms?
A: In addition to disconnecting within Genstore, you can also revoke authorization directly in the account settings of the corresponding platform. For example, in Google Account's "Third-party app permissions" page. Both operations have the same effect. It is recommended to choose one to avoid status inconsistency.
