Create a knowledge base from template

To help you build an effective AI Agent knowledge base faster, Genstore provides a Create from template feature within the Knowledge base setup page. These templates are built around industry best practices and give you a clear, structured foundation that helps the AI better understand your business and deliver high-quality responses.

Key features

  • Built-in best-practice templates: All templates follow proven industry guidelines for structuring knowledge documents, including standardized formatting, tone, and sample content.
  • Language selection supported: When creating a template, you can choose your preferred language. We recommend using English for optimal AI understanding and response accuracy.
  • Personalized placeholders: Editable fields within the template are marked using double curly brackets, so you can quickly replace them with your store-specific information without starting from scratch.

How to use

  1. Log in to your Genstore Admin and go to Sales channels -> Inbox
  2. In the AI Agent section, click Knowledge base
  3. Click Create from template in the top-right corner
  4. In the pop-up window, select a language version (we recommend English)
  5. The system will generate a standard knowledge base template. You can now edit it using either of the following approaches:
    • Quick replace mode: Simply fill in the double curly brackets placeholders with your own content
    • Custom rewrite mode: Keep the template’s structure but rewrite the content to better match your brand tone
  6. When finished, click Save. The AI Agent will begin referencing the new content immediately.

Tips for configuration

  • Use English if possible: AI performs best when trained on English content. Even if your customer interface is in another language, the AI can translate before responding.
  • Review and update regularly: Whenever your business or policies change, make sure to update the knowledge base content accordingly.
  • Keep the structure intact: If you rewrite the content, we recommend retaining the section headings and format from the template. This helps the AI parse and understand your information more effectively.
