Pages

On the Genstore platform, pages are customizable web pages that merchants use to showcase and promote their products and services. Merchants can create various types of pages, including product details, brand overviews, customer service, FAQs, and marketing campaign pages, to:

• Boost brand image and build customer trust
• Enhance user experience and increase conversion rates

Create a new page

1. Log in to your Genstore admin and navigate to Online Store -> Pages.
2. Click Create page.
3. Enter the page title.
4. Use the rich text editor to add your content. You can insert images, hyperlinks, adjust font size and color, and more.
5. To edit the page’s HTML code, click <> to switch to HTML view and make your changes.
6. SEO settings
   • Page title: Keep it under 70 characters to avoid search result truncation.
   • Meta description: Limit it to 165 characters for better search visibility.
   • URL handle: Customize the URL. If you need to change it later, the system will automatically redirect the old URL to the new one.
7. Set the page visibility: Choose whether to make the page public, hidden, or set it to display at a specific time.
8. Click Save to add the page to your list.

Preview your page

After saving a page, you can preview how it will appear in your online store in real time.

Steps

1. Log in to the Genstore admin and go to Online Store -> Pages.
2. In the page list, click the Preview icon in the action column to open a new window and view the page’s display in your online store.
3. At the bottom status bar, you can view the current theme name, and either exit preview or click Customize theme to open the theme editor for customization.

Manage pages

On the page list page, you can manage your pages with the following options:

• Edit: Click the Edit button next to the page to make changes.
• Delete: Click Delete to remove the page.

Add menu navigation

To make your custom pages easily accessible, you can add them to your store’s navigation menu. Here’s how:

1. Log in to your Genstore admin.
2. Go to Online Store -> Menus.
3. Click Create menu and fill in the title and URL handle in the pop-up window.
4. In Menu items, click Add menu item, enter the menu item name, select the page you want to link, and click Save.
5. Once you’re done, click Save to apply the menu settings.
