Add an FAQ section to your store
The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section displays the most common customer inquiries, such as shipping times, return policies, and payment options. Adding an FAQ to your page can help build trust, increase conversion rates, and reduce the workload on your support team.
TIP
Currently, the FAQ section is only supported on official Genstore theme templates.
Common display options
You can choose to display the FAQ section in the following locations based on your store's needs:
- Home page: As part of your brand introduction or user guidance section.
- Product page: To address common product-related questions and improve purchase decisions.
- Standalone page: A dedicated page linked through navigation to systematically display all FAQs.
How to add an FAQ section
Add an FAQ section to any page
- Go to your Genstore admin.
- Click Online Store -> Themes from the left navigation menu.
- Click the Design button on your active theme to enter the theme editor.
- In the page selector, choose the target page (e.g., home page, product page) to open its editor.
- In the Segment template section on the left panel, click Add section.
- Search for or locate the
FAQ
section, then click to add it. - Once added, use Add block to further customize:
- Category: To organize questions by topic (e.g., Order FAQs, Payment FAQs)
- Question: Add specific questions and answers
- After editing, click Save in the top-right corner.
TIP
Once you've selected the section or a specific block, you can scustomize the layout and styles in the right-side settings panel, such as vertical/horizontal layout, content alignment, font size, color scheme, and whether to expand the first question by default.
Create and design a standalone FAQ page
Genstore automatically generates a default FAQ page when a store is created. This page is hidden by default. Follow the steps below to enable and edit it:
- Go to your Genstore admin.
- Click Online Store -> Themes from the left navigation menu.
- Click the Design button to enter the theme editor.
- In the page selector, choose Pages, then select the faq template.
- Add and customize FAQ categories and questions as needed.
- Click Save in the top-right corner.
Add the FAQ page to your store navigation
- Click the back arrow in the top-left corner to return to Genstore admin.
- Navigate to Online Store -> Navigation.
- Click the pencil icon next to Main menu to edit it.
- Click Add menu item and fill in the following:
- Menu item name (e.g., FAQ)
- Search for and select the
faq
page - Click Save
- On the navigation edit page, click Save again.
- To preview the result, go to Online Store -> Themes, then click Preview next to your active theme. You can continue adjusting the layout or style as needed.

Q1. Are titles, categories, and questions in the FAQ section translatable?
A: Yes. Click the Translate button in the top-right corner of the FAQ section to open the Genstore translation app and configure multilingual content.
Q2. Can I set SEO titles for the FAQ page?
A: Yes. For the standalone FAQ page, you can add a custom page title, URL, and meta description to improve search engine visibility.
