VIP membership

Genstore Loyalty VIP program allows you to set thresholds that encourage customer progression to higher tiers, unlocking privileges and enhancing lifetime value.

TIP

Changes to the VIP program, such as criteria adjustments or tier modifications, take effect immediately and could impact customer statuses. Please review carefully before proceeding:

  • All customer tiers will be recalculated: Adjustments to the VIP criteria may affect existing customer tiers.
  • Customers may lose current VIP status: Changes in conditions or tier modifications may result in tier changes.
  • No rewards or notifications are sent for tier changes.
  • Advisable to notify customers in advance: To avoid confusion, consider informing customers about upcoming changes via email or other methods.

Activate the VIP program

  1. Log in to your Genstore store management page.
  2. Navigate to Customers -> Loyalty.
  3. Under the VIP tab, use the toggle switch to activate or deactivate the program.

Activation may trigger a lengthy recalculation of VIP tiers for numerous customers. During this period, adjustments to VIP rules or tiers are restricted.

Q1: What changes occur to customer tiers after activating the VIP program?

A: Upon activating the VIP program, all customer VIP tiers will be recalculated according to the new settings. Customers may lose their existing VIP tiers, depending on the thresholds, calculation rules, and any changes you have made.

Q2: Will customers be notified if their tier changes?

A: No. If a customer's VIP tier changes due to recalculation, the system does not automatically send any notifications or entry rewards. You can set up email notifications manually to inform customers of changes to their tiers.

Q3: How are customer VIP tiers calculated?

A: VIP tiers can be based on cumulative points, spending amount, or order count, depending on your settings. From the start date of the VIP program, the system automatically tracks customer behavior and updates their tiers according to the respective rules. For more details, please refer to Set VIP tiers.

Q4: Do customers lose their tiers if the VIP program is deactivated?

A: No. When the VIP program is deactivated, customers retain their existing tiers, but the calculation and updates related to VIP tiers are paused until you reactivate the program.
