Genstore Preorder

Genstore Preorder is a stock and sales optimization tool designed for e-commerce merchants. It transforms traditional "Out of Stock" notices into "Pre-order" opportunities, ensuring your store keeps selling and capturing every potential order even when inventory is low.

Activation requirements

To ensure pre-order features work correctly, please verify the following product settings in your admin panel:

• Enable inventory tracking: The Track inventory option must be checked for all product variants.
• Allow overselling: The Continue selling when out of stock option must be enabled.
• Trigger mechanism: The pre-order mode activates automatically only when inventory is 0 or less.

Installation and authorization

1. Visit the Genstore App Store.
2. Search for Genstore Preorder and click the app card to view details.
3. Click Install. You will be redirected back to your Genstore Merchant Admin.
4. Follow the prompts to complete authorization and enable the app.
5. [Optional] Click the "Pin" icon to keep the app in your navigation bar for quick access.

Enable Genstore Preorder

1. Log in to your admin and go to Apps -> Genstore Preorder.
   • If not pinned, go to Apps -> Installed, then click Launch app.
2. On the app home page, click Enable now.
3. You will be directed to the App management page. Toggle the switch to enable Genstore Preorder.
4. Click Save.

Create a pre-order campaign

TIP

A product variant cannot be part of multiple active campaigns at the same time. If a variant is already in another campaign, please remove it first to avoid conflicts.

Navigate to the Genstore Preorder app and click Create campaign to configure the following:

• Campaign name: Enter a name for your campaign. This is for internal identification only and will not be shown to customers.
• Applicable products: Choose between All out-of-stock products or Specific out-of-stock products.
• Campaign duration: Set a specific start and end date, or select Always available.
• Shipping promise: Set the estimated shipping time displayed on your storefront. Options include Immediate delivery, Available on a specific date, or Rolling timeframes (e.g., ships 10 days after order).

Summary and save

Review your setup in the Campaign summary section. Once verified, click Save. Your campaign will go live at the scheduled time and begin accepting pre-orders.

Customize display style

Click the Customize style button on the home page to tailor how the app appears on your storefront:

• Visibility: Choose to display on the product page, featured product sections, or collection pages.
• Shipping info: Toggle the display of the estimated shipping date.
• Button text: Customize your CTA (e.g., "Pre-order Now" or "Reserve Today").

Manage campaigns

• Monitor status: View all active campaigns, delivery types, and payment modes in your Campaign list.
• Quick adjustments: Edit active campaigns or delete expired ones at any time.
• Style preview: We recommend viewing your storefront on both mobile and desktop after saving to ensure a seamless customer experience.

FAQ

Q1: If I restock and inventory becomes positive, will the pre-order button disappear?**

A: Yes. When the system detects inventory > 0, it automatically switches the "Pre-order" button back to the standard "Buy Now" button.

Q2: Why does my product still say "Sold Out" after setting up a campaign?**

A: Please double-check your product settings in the admin panel to ensure "Continue selling when out of stock" is enabled.
