Start your free trial with Genstore
Before choosing a paid plan, you can sign up for a free trial to explore Genstore’s features and user experience. A free trial will automatically begin once your store is created.
Plans you can try
Your free trial gives you access to all core features in the following plans:
How to start your trial
- Go to the Genstore signup page, enter your email and password, then click Sign up.
- Upload product images or select your business category.
- Review your store settings, including country, language, industry, and store name. You can edit any of these.
- After confirming, the design agent will automatically create your store. You can click Design store to customize your layout and branding.
Set up your store during the trial
- Customers can place $0 orders or use any manual payment methods you’ve added.
- To allow real purchases, you can activate full checkout by choosing a paid plan.
- When you upgrade, everything you built during the trial will be saved.
Make the most of your free trial
To get started fast and maximize your trial experience, we recommend:
- Adding products: Upload your products with clear descriptions, pricing, and images.
- Reviewing key settings: Set up currency, language, taxes, and shipping rates.
- Exploring themes and apps: Visit the Theme Store and App Store to customize your store’s look and expand its functionality.
Switch plans anytime during your trial
You can switch between plans during your free trial. The new plan will apply right away, and no payment is needed until the trial ends.
When your trial ends
If you haven’t selected a paid plan by the end of your trial, your store will be paused. You can resume it anytime by upgrading.
Store feature limitations during the free trial
During the free trial, you can explore Genstore's core features. However, to ensure fair use of platform resources, certain functions are limited while your store is in trial:
Genstore admin limitations
- Payment settings: You can submit a Genstore Payments activation request, but cannot receive customer payments yet. Manual payment is supported during the trial period. Third-party payment providers cannot be added, modified, or enabled.
- Marketing modules:
- Email sending is limited to 20 emails in total (including marketing and test emails).
- Marketing automation (MA) workflows can be created but not activated.
- Apps: Free to install. To subscribe to the app’s paid version, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid Genstore plan first.
Customer-facing limitations
- Checkout restrictions: Customers can only place $0 orders or use manually configured payment methods. Genstore Payments and third-party gateways are not available during the trial.
- Brand attribution: The “Made with Genstore” brand attribution cannot be removed while on a free trial. An active paid subscription is required to hide it.
To fully unlock Genstore's features and launch your online store, we recommend upgrading to a paid plan.
