Set up shipping profiles

Genstore Dropshipping products use a dedicated shipping profile under the Shipping and delivery settings. This profile is managed separately from your general shipping profile to ensure accurate rate calculation and fulfillment for Dropshipping products.

The table below compares three shipping profile types available in Genstore:

Priority	Custom profiles override general ones.	Custom shipping settings have higher priority than general shipping settings. Since a product cannot be assigned to multiple custom shipping settings at the same time, there is no priority conflict among custom shipping profiles. Before you begin

• Profile creation – You don’t need to create this manually. The Genstore Dropshipping shipping profile is automatically generated when you publish your first Dropshipping product.
• Profile deletion – The profile cannot be deleted manually. Once all Dropshipping products are removed from your store, it automatically disappears from the list view.

Edit shipping rates

You can modify the shipping rates in the Genstore Dropshipping shipping profile, but other configuration items are fixed.

1. Go to Settings → Shipping and delivery.
2. Locate Genstore DS.
3. Click Edit to update rates.

Profile details

• Shipping origin – Fixed to Genstore Dropshipping fulfillment; you can’t modify or add other origins.
• Associated products – Mapping happens automatically. Any Dropshipping product you publish is linked to this profile.
• Shipping countries – Cannot be added or edited manually. The system inherits your active Markets configuration.
• Shipping rates – You can define rates for Dropshipping products that customers will pay at checkout. For rate types, see Configure shipping rate options.

TIP

1. The shipping rate name and description displayed on the storefront cannot be edited. The system will automatically display the corresponding delivery time data as the shipping rate description in the shipping options.
2. Delivery times may vary by product and destination; the checkout page shows the final estimated time.
3. Currently, transit-time data is available for shipments to the United States only.
4. When multiple Dropshipping products are included in one order, the system displays the longest estimated delivery time as the overall reference.
5. The Genstore Dropshipping shipping rate profile currently supports only one shipping rate configuration and only two shipping rate types: flat rate or rate by price.

Important notes

1. Set customer-facing rates higher than actual supplier costs
   • The shipping rates you set are what customers pay at checkout, which may differ from supplier shipping costs.
   • To avoid undercharging, we recommend:
     • reserve a margin in your product pricing.
     • use the cost reference provided in the pricing module and consider marking up 10–20% to cover potential cost differences.
2. Self-pickup not supported
   • Genstore Dropshipping products ship directly from suppliers and cannot use in-store pickup or local delivery services.
