Manage orders in transit

On the In transit page of the Genstore platform, you can view orders with purchased shipping labels and track their delivery status. This page provides detailed order information and action buttons to help you manage and complete the shipping process. This guide will walk you through the features of the In transit page.

Page overview

The In transit page lists orders with purchased shipping labels that have not yet been fully shipped. It displays key details for each order, including:

  • Order ID – A unique identifier for each order.
  • Order time – The date and time the customer placed the order.
  • Product information – The names and quantities of the products in the order.
  • Customer name – The name of the customer who placed the order.
  • Order channel – The platform or channel the customer used to place the order.
  • Package information – The package's weight, dimensions, and other shipping-related information.
  • Sender address – The merchant’s shipping address.
  • Recipient address – The customer's delivery address.
  • Shipping – The carrier and selected shipping method.
  • Status – The current order status (e.g., in transit).
  • Actions – Action buttons such as Print shipping label, Mark as shipped, and Cancel shipping label.

If there are no orders pending shipment, the page will display No data available.

Action buttons and their functions

  • Function – Click Print shipping label to print the shipping label and attach it to the package for pickup by the carrier.
  • When to use – The Print shipping label button is available only after a shipping label has been purchased.

Mark as shipped

  • Function – Click Mark as shipped to update the order status from In transit to Shipped.
  • When to use – Once the carrier has picked up the package and started the delivery process, you should mark the order as shipped. This ensures the customer receives a notification and can track their shipment.

Cancel shipping label

  • Function – Click Cancel shipping label to void a purchased shipping label.
  • When to use – If the package has not yet been picked up by the carrier, you can cancel the label from the In transit page. If the package has already been picked up, the label cannot be canceled.

Important notes:

  • Before pickup – If the carrier has not yet collected the package, you can cancel the label. This allows you to change the shipping method or correct label details.
  • After pickup – Once the package has been collected, you will no longer be able to cancel the label. Be sure to verify all shipping details before confirming pickup.

Track shipping status

On the In transit page, you can click Tracking details to view detailed shipping and tracking information for a package.

How to track a shipment

  1. On the In transit page, find the relevant order.
  2. Click Shipping in the order list.
  3. The system will display detailed tracking information, including the package details, shipping provider, tracking number, current status, and real-time shipping updates.

By monitoring tracking details, you can stay informed about the package’s delivery progress and ensure it reaches the customer on time.

1. Why can’t I cancel a shipping label?

If the package has already been picked up by the carrier, the shipping label cannot be canceled. If it has not yet been picked up, you can cancel the label and select a different shipping method.

2. Will the customer receive a notification when I mark an order as shipped?

Yes, when you mark an order as Shipped, the system will automatically notify the customer that their order has been shipped and provide them with tracking information.

3. Can I edit the shipping label details?

If the package has not yet been picked up, you can cancel the existing shipping label, update the details, and purchase a new label. If the package has already been picked up, the label information cannot be changed.
