Associate templates with content

In each theme set, the system includes a built-in default template for different page types (such as products, collections, pages, blog collections, and blog posts) to ensure the store can launch quickly and maintain a consistent display effect.

If you wish to distinguish different scenarios or styles based on the default style, you can assign them to corresponding content objects according to your business needs. When unassigned, the system will automatically use the default template for that type; however, once a custom template is assigned, the display effect will always be based on the selected template.

Assign a template to a product

1. Log in to the Genstore admin.
2. Navigate to Store -> Products, and click on the target product to enter the product details page.
3. In the Theme template dropdown menu on the right, select the template to be applied.
4. Click Save.

Assign a template to a collection

1. Log in to the Genstore admin.
2. Navigate to Store -> Products -> Collections, and click the pencil icon in the Action column of the target collection.
3. In the Theme template dropdown menu on the right, select the template to be applied.
4. Click Save.

Assign a template to a blog post

1. Log in to the Genstore admin.
2. Navigate to Store -> Online Store -> Blog posts, and click the pencil icon in the Action column of the target blog post.
3. In the Theme template dropdown menu on the right, select the template to be applied.
4. Click Save.

Assign a template to a blog collection

1. Log in to the Genstore admin.
2. Navigate to Store -> Online Store -> Blog posts -> Manage blog collections.
3. Click the Edit button in the Action column of the target blog collection.
4. In the Theme template dropdown menu on the right, select the template to be applied.
5. Click Save.

Assign a template to a page

1. Log in to the Genstore admin.
2. Navigate to Store -> Online Store -> Pages.
3. Click the pencil icon in the Action column of the target page.
4. In the Theme template dropdown menu on the right, select the template to be applied.
5. Click Save.

Bulk assign templates to products and collections

For products and collections, you can also apply templates in bulk through the bulk edit operation.

Bulk assign templates to products

1. Log in to the Genstore admin.
2. Navigate to Store -> Products, and check the products you wish to apply a template to in bulk.
3. Click Bulk edit.
4. In the bulk editor, find the Theme template column.
5. In the dropdown list, select the template to be applied.
6. Click Save.

Bulk assign templates to collections

1. Log in to the Genstore admin.
2. Navigate to Store -> Products -> Collections, and check the collections you wish to apply a template to in bulk.
3. Click Bulk edit.
4. In the bulk editor, find the Theme template column.
5. In the dropdown list, select the template to be applied.
6. Click Save.
