Automatically create product collections
The Genstore platform allows you to automatically add products that meet specific conditions to a designated collection. You can set conditions based on product type, price, tags, inventory status, and more, simplifying product management—especially for large product volumes and dynamic inventory changes.
When creating an automatic product collection, you’ll define the products that meet your conditions. You can create up to 5000 automatic product collections:
- Configurable conditions: Conditions include product type, price range, tags, inventory status, title keywords, etc.
- Condition type: Choose whether products must meet all conditions or any condition to be included in the collection.
- Maximum conditions: Each collection can have up to 60 filter conditions.
Create a product collection
- Log in to the Genstore merchant admin and go to Products -> Collections.
- Click Create product collection in the top-right corner.
- Enter the collection’s title and description.
- Under Allocation method, select Automatic and set the automatic conditions:
- Choose whether products must meet all conditions or any condition to be included in the collection.
- Use the dropdown menu to set collection conditions. For more details on filter conditions, refer to Automatic filtering conditions.
- SEO settings:
- Page title: By default, it uses the collection title, but you can edit it. Recommended length: 0-70 characters.
- Meta description: By default, it uses the collection description, but you can edit it. Recommended length: 0-165 characters.
- URL handle: Generated by default, up to 255 characters. You can modify it. Conversion rules:
- Remove punctuation and special characters

- Convert uppercase to lowercase
- The product collection will be automatically published to your online store. You can also edit the sales channels to adjust which markets the collection targets.
- Under Cover image, add a cover image for the collection. You can choose one from the resource library, upload via link, or upload from your computer.
- Click Save to finalize the product collection creation.
Manage product collections
All created product collections will appear on the Product collections page list, where you can:
- Edit collection: Click Edit in the Actions column to update the collection’s title, description, image, filter conditions, SEO settings, sales channels, and publish date.
- Preview collection: Click Preview in the Actions column to see the products included in the collection.
- Duplicate collection: Click Duplicate in the Actions column to quickly duplicate the current collection. You can later adjust settings from the collection details page or by clicking the edit button in the list.
- Delete collection: Click Delete in the Actions column to remove the collection. You can also select multiple collections using checkboxes to delete them in bulk.
FAQ
Q: Can I convert a manually created product collection to an automatic one? A: This feature is not currently supported, but you can create a new collection as automatic.
