Add a Shop the look section to your store

The Shop the Look section is designed to showcase complete outfits or scene combinations. Merchants can set multiple hot spots on an image and link them to products. When customers click a hot spot, they can quickly view and add the product to their cart, making it easy to purchase the entire look. This section is commonly used in fashion, beauty, and home décor industries to enhance styling appeal and increase average order value.

Use cases

• Fashion: Display a full outfit so customers can purchase tops, pants, shoes, and accessories in one go.
• Beauty: Present a complete makeup look, allowing customers to shop foundation, eye makeup, and lip products together.
• Home décor: Showcase living room, bedroom, or dining room setups so customers can easily buy all the items needed for a full arrangement.

Steps

Add the section

1. Log in to the Genstore admin, and go to Online Store -> Themes.
2. Click Customize next to your current theme to open the theme editor.
3. In the page selector, open the target page (e.g., home page or landing page).
4. In the left sidebar under Segment template, click Add section.
5. Search for or select Shop the Look, and confirm to add it.

Configure the section

1. In the left Segment template area, click the Shop the Look section. In the right panel, you can set the heading, description, and style.
2. Click to select the Look block, you can configure the following:
   • Upload a scene image
     • Click Select image under PC image to upload your scene photo.
     • Adjust the image ratio and placement on the page (left or right).
   • Product card settings: Choose how many product cards to display beside the image and set the carousel style.
   • Link hot spot products:
     • In the Product area, click Select products to link products to specific hot spots on the image.
     • Adjust the horizontal and vertical position of each hot spot in the preview panel.
     • You can configure up to 5 products per image.
3. When finished, click Save in the upper-right corner.

Storefront display

When customers hover over a hot spot, a product preview card will appear, allowing them to add the item to their cart instantly and complete the full look purchase.

Tips

• The Shop the Look section supports up to 5 products, making it ideal for complete but not overloaded displays.
• Position hot spots so they align closely with the actual product in the image for a better user experience.
• Adjust fonts, colors, and layouts to match your brand’s style.
