Search page
The search results page displays products that match a customer’s keywords. It supports advanced filtering and sorting options to help customers quickly find what they need. Flexible layout and interaction settings can significantly improve the search experience and conversion rate.
How to access
- Log in to your Genstore admin.
- Go to Online store -> Themes.
- Find your theme and click Customize to open the theme editor.
- In the top navigation bar, open the page selector and choose Search.
Tip: After switching to the Search page template, you can select Templates -> Search results in the left panel and adjust display styles, filters, and sorting options in the right panel.
Style and layout settings
The search results page offers multiple visual and layout options to optimize product presentation:
- Display style: Choose “small” or “large” mode for different visual styles and information density.
- Product count: Set the number of products per page and define the number of columns for desktop and mobile.
- Spacing and color: Adjust card spacing (small / medium / large) and apply light or dark mode to match your brand theme.
- Product cards:
- Image ratio: Options include “fit,” 3:4, and 1:1 to accommodate various product categories.
- Product info: Choose whether to show vendor details, price, or enable a hover image for alternate views.
- Quick actions: Enable “Quick add to cart” to boost conversions.
Filter and sort settings
To help customers find products faster, the search page supports:
- Filters: Allow filtering by price, inventory, and more. Merchants can customize filter options through the Search & Discovery app.
- Filter layout: On desktop, choose horizontal, vertical, or drawer-style layouts.
- Sorting: Enable sorting by date, price, or popularity.
