Delete customer personal data

Customer privacy and data protection are essential pillars of e-commerce. Important notes for deleting customer personal data

Deleting customer personal data is an irreversible process. When handling a customer’s deletion request, please pay attention to the following key points:

Data to be deleted

The personal data to be deleted includes, but is not limited to:

  • Customer name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Residential address
  • Login account information

Data that will be retained

To maintain transaction record integrity, transaction-related data (such as order history, discounts, and gift cards) associated with the customer will not be deleted.

Deletion process

  1. Submit a deletion request: Once the customer’s deletion request is received, the system will initiate the deletion process.
  2. Buffer period: A 10-day buffer period is in place during which the deletion request can be revoked.
  3. Data deletion is irreversible: Once personal data is deleted, it cannot be restored.

TIP

To avoid impacting recent transactions, if the customer has made transactions in the past 180 days, the deletion of their personal data will be automatically delayed by 180 days. This safety period is designed to prevent potential payment disputes. If you need to adjust the deletion date, please contact Genstore customer support for assistance.
