Activate Drop Pay

Drop Pay is a turnkey payment solution designed by Genstore specifically for dropshipping businesses. To ensure your store can accept payments and settle funds smoothly, please review the following activation process and guidelines.

Prerequisites

• Valid PayPal Account: You need a PayPal email address capable of receiving USD. Genstore will issue payouts to this address.
• Tax Documentation: Depending on your tax residency, you must complete and submit the appropriate tax form for compliance:
  • U.S. Residents/Entities: Form W-9
  • Non-U.S. Residents/Entities: Form W-8

How to activate

• Automatic Activation: Drop Pay does not require a manual application.
• Instant Enablement: The feature is automatically activated once you successfully create and enable your Genstore Dropshipping store.
• Zero Wait Time: You can start accepting orders immediately without waiting for manual KYC approval.

Linking your Payout account & tax status

Currently, Drop Pay funds are settled to your PayPal account. Follow these steps to complete the setup:

1. Log in to your Genstore Admin.
2. Navigate to Dropshipping -> Balance in the left sidebar.
3. Under the Drop Pay view, click the Settings button.
4. Enter your PayPal account email in the pop-up and click confirm.
5. Configure your Tax residency. For more details, please refer to Tax Residency Configuration.
6. Click Confirm to save.

Scope and limitations

Please note the following operational restrictions:

• Product Restriction: Drop Pay only supports Dropshipping products. If an order contains non-dropshipping items, the system will trigger your other configured third-party payment gateways.
• Feature Restriction: Accelerated Checkout buttons are currently unavailable on product detail pages and side-carts for dropshipping products using Drop Pay.
• Solution Mutuality: Drop Pay and Genstore Payments cannot be used simultaneously. Activating Genstore Payments will automatically disable Drop Pay.
• Settlement Requirement: You must submit a valid Tax form in addition to your PayPal account before payouts can be issued.
