Checkout page

The checkout page is the final step before customers complete their order and payment. It includes key information such as order confirmation, address details, and payment options.

In Genstore admin -> Settings -> Checkout, you can customize the login requirement and customer address fields to collect necessary information while keeping the checkout process smooth.

Login settings

  • Default: Customers can check out as guests without logging in.
  • Login required: Select Login required before checkout to require customers to log in before they can complete their order.

    Tip: Requiring login may reduce order volume.

Customer address

You can control which address fields appear on the checkout page and whether they are optional or required. This allows you to meet your business needs while maintaining a smooth checkout experience.

Full name

  • Require first name only (Recommended): Customers only need to enter their first name.
  • Require first and last name: Customers must enter both first and last names.

Address line 2 (apartment, unit, etc)

  • Hide: The Address line 2 field will not be shown.
  • Visible, optional (Recommended): Customers can choose whether to provide address line 2.
  • Visible, required: Customers must enter this field to submit their order.

Shipping address phone number

  • Hide: The Phone number field will not be shown.
  • Visible, optional (Recommended): Customers can choose whether to provide a phone number.
  • Visible, required: Customers must provide a phone number to complete checkout.

Company name

  • Hide (Recommended): The Company name field will not be shown.
  • Visible, optional: Customers can choose whether to provide their company name.
  • Visible, required: Customers must enter their company name to submit their order.
