Shipping and delivery
Before activating a market, you must ensure that all countries and regions within that market have a valid shipping profile assigned. Follow the steps below to view shipping configurations for a specific market.
View shipping settings
- From your Genstore admin, go to Settings -> Markets.
- In the Markets overview page, click the market you want to review.
- In the Shipping section, you’ll see the current shipping setup for that market.
- Click into the shipping details to view or edit shipping profiles for each region.
Configure shipping settings
Genstore lets you configure a default shipping profile for all products (general shipping profile), or create custom shipping profiles for specific products. Below is an example using the general shipping profile:
Steps
- From your Genstore admin, go to Settings > Shipping and delivery.
- Next to General shipping, click Edit to open the profile settings.
- Configure Applicable products:
- The general profile applies to all products by default.
- Click View applicable products to confirm which products are included.
- To exclude a product from the general profile, create a custom shipping profile for it.
- Set up Shipping location:
- Choose one or more warehouse or store addresses as shipping location.
- Drag to reorder and set priority among origins.
- If no origin exists, go to Settings -> Locations to add one.
- Configure Shipping regions and rates:
- Click Add regions and rates to define rules for one or more countries/regions.
- For each zone, you can set one or more rate types (e.g., flat rate, weight-based rate).
- (Optional) Enable and set up pickup location:
- Click Add pickup location, then select the warehouse or store where customers can pick up their orders.
- Add a name and description for the pickup point (e.g., business hours, pickup instructions).
- Once enabled, customers can choose pickup as a shipping option at checkout to avoid shipping fees.
