TikTok sales channel

TikTok is a video-sharing social platform where you can sync your products to the platform through the TikTok sales channel, enabling users to browse, place orders, and complete payments directly within TikTok. Through live streaming, short video promotions, and product showcase features, you can reach potential customers through multiple channels, increasing product exposure and conversion effectiveness.

TIP

The TikTok channel is a built-in system app that is automatically installed after completing the initial store setup, requiring no manual installation. After completing product sync, you can find this channel in the Sales channels page of your merchant admin.

Prerequisites

To use the TikTok sales channel, we recommend creating the following TikTok accounts in advance:

  • TikTok for Business account: Provides multiple functions for brands and marketers, including ad management, creative content production, and audience engagement. With this account, you can:
    • Create and publish ads on the TikTok Ads Manager platform.
    • Manage your organization through the Business Center.
    • Use organic TikTok content to create Spark Ads.

    Note: You can use an existing TikTok account to create a TikTok for Business account. You can also link a personal TikTok account to a TikTok for Business account.

  • TikTok Business Center account: The Business Center is a unified management platform for TikTok aimed at organizations and enterprises, used for centralized management of organizational structure, permissions, accounts, and assets. Access to this center requires a TikTok for Business account first.
  • TikTok Ads Manager account: Used to create promotional campaigns, manage ad materials, view data reports, and optimize ad performance. Logging into this platform also requires a TikTok for Business account.

Set up TikTok sales channel and complete product sync

  1. Log in to your Genstore merchant admin.
  2. Go to Sales channels -> TikTok.
  3. Click Connect TikTok account to start the account binding process.
    • Click the drop-down arrow under each account to complete account binding:
      • TikTok Business Center account
      • TikTok Ads account
    • Configure data sharing settings:
      • Select or create a Pixel, enable data tracking to improve ad performance.
  4. Click Complete setup to finish channel authorization and binding.

Set up product upload rules for TikTok

  1. After completing channel authorization and binding, set up product upload rules for TikTok.
  2. Click Manage products to enter the product upload management page.
  3. Click Product upload rules to enter the rules management page. Confirm and adjust the Basic rules and Product rules to determine the scope of products uploaded from your store to TikTok and the rules for syncing products to TikTok. After confirmation, click Save rules.
  4. After saving the rules, data will be retrieved from your store to the application according to your rules. This process requires some time (the duration depends on the amount of data being retrieved).
  5. After data retrieval is complete, the system will notify you with a Tips message. You can see the product data in the product list of the Manage products page and click to view product details.

Enable product upload

  1. After product upload rules are set and data retrieval is complete, you can see product data in the product list of the Manage products page.
  2. After confirming the data, click Enable auto upload, and the system will start uploading the data from the list to TikTok. This upload process requires some time (the duration depends on the amount of data being uploaded).
  3. Products uploaded to TikTok that are approved/not approved/pending review will display their corresponding status in the product management list. Products that are not approved will receive specific error reason prompts.
  4. After the data upload results are available, the system will notify you with a Tips message. You can see the upload status of products in the product list of the Manage products page.

Note: Data upload is not executed in real-time. For products with modifications and updates, the system will perform timed synchronization, executed once every hour.

Disable product upload

  1. Click Manage products to enter the product upload management page.
  2. If you are currently in the product upload enabled state and need to disable product upload, click Disable auto sync, and the system will stop syncing products from your product management list to TikTok.

  2. After product retrieval is complete, the system will generate a feed XML file.
  3. Click Copy feed link. After the feed XML file is generated, you can copy the URL of the feed XML file to TikTok Business and import product information to TikTok through XML.

Disconnect TikTok account

If you no longer need the TikTok sales channel, you can disconnect your TikTok account:

  1. Log in to your Genstore merchant admin.
  2. In the left navigation bar, click Sales channels -> TikTok.
  3. Click Settings in the top right corner of the page.
  4. Click the drop-down arrow next to the target account to expand the settings details, then click Disconnect.

  5. Click the Unlink button next to TikTok Pixel to complete the unlinking and replacement of TikTok Pixel.
