Change domain type

There are three types of domains:

• Primary domain: Every store must have one primary domain. You can also have multiple alias or redirect domains. When you first register your Genstore store, the system creates a .genmystore.com domain as your primary domain. You can add a custom domain and set it as your primary domain.
• Redirect domain: A redirect domain points to your store, but when visitors enter the redirect domain in their browser, they will be redirected to the primary domain.
• Alias domain: An alias domain points to your store but doesn’t redirect to the primary domain. The alias domain shows up in the browser’s address bar.

Steps:

1. In the Genstore admin, go to Settings -> Domains.
2. Find the domain you want to change.
3. Click Change domain type.
4. Select the new domain type and click Save.

Remove a domain

If you no longer want to associate a third-party custom domain with your Genstore store, you can remove it from the Genstore admin. You can also remove subdomains.

TIP

• You cannot delete your .genmystore.com domain.
• To delete the primary domain, you must first change the primary domain and then remove the old one.

Steps:

1. In the Genstore backend, go to Settings -> Domains.
2. Find the domain you want to remove.
3. Click Delete to confirm.
