Scheduled tasks
Scheduled tasks let you turn frequently used analysis or monitoring instructions into recurring workflows. After you set the frequency and time, Genstore runs them in the background on schedule and sends the results to the selected destination or archives them in the Library.
Create a scheduled task
There are two ways to create one:
Option A: Convert from a chat
After Genstore completes an analysis, you can simply say something like "Run this for me every morning." Genstore will ask you to confirm the schedule and time, then create the task for you.
This works best for tasks you have already tested in chat and decided are worth repeating regularly.
Option B: Create one manually
If you already have a clear automation goal, you can open the Scheduled page from the Chat tab:
- Click Create scheduled task.
- Enter a task name and write the instruction to run, for example, "Analyze yesterday's GMV every day and alert me about anomalies."
- Set the frequency: daily, weekly, or a custom interval (minimum interval: 1 hour).
- Set the execution time and save.
Manage existing tasks
On the Scheduled page, you can manage created tasks in the following ways:
- Pause / enable: Use the toggle on the task card to pause or resume a task at any time.
- Edit: Update the instruction, frequency, or destination.
- View execution history: Open a task to review past runs and each output.
- Delete: Deleting a task stops future runs immediately, but previously archived output files remain available.
Typical use cases
- Morning business brief: Every day at 9:00 AM, summarize yesterday's GMV, order volume, and AOV, and list the issues that need attention today.
- Inventory review: Every weekend, audit store inventory automatically and output a list of SKUs that are at risk of stockout or overstock.
- Brand social monitoring: Scan Reddit, TikTok, Amazon, and similar platforms on a schedule, then generate a prioritized brief and response drafts. You can further combine this with brand sentiment monitoring tasks.
FAQ
Q: Does my computer need to stay on for scheduled tasks to run?
A: No. Scheduled tasks run on Genstore's cloud servers, so closing your browser or going offline does not affect execution.
Q: Can I create multiple scheduled tasks?
A: Yes. There is no hard limit. It is best to give each task a clear name so it is easy to distinguish in the list.
Q: Do scheduled tasks consume credits?
A: Yes. Each run consumes credits based on the skills used and the amount of data processed. Higher frequency means higher consumption, so it is a good idea to check your credit balance before increasing the schedule during peak periods.
